SurePath AI was founded in 2023 by Casey Bleeker and Randy Birdsall. As GenAI exploded onto the consumer stage in late 2022, Casey and Randy saw businesses struggling with the rapid emergence of consumer GenAI services and the associated new risks they posed.
As the productivity gains these solutions could bring became more apparent, a mandate to adopt GenAI evolved. Without an answer to how they could gain visibility and govern the use of GenAI services to securely adopt these transformational technologies, companies were left with a paradox: allow ungoverned use along with the associated compliance and data leakage risks, or forego adopting the most transformative technology of an era.
Hearing in customer sentiments a need to align these competing interests, an unconscious market need was identified. The solution was clear - a governance platform was required, and it must be able to solve the security concerns of a modern enterprise without creating barriers to adoption that would encourage Shadow AI use.
Identifying the customer need to govern public services, enable access to private models, and control the flow of critical enterprise data to these services, Casey and Randy set out to create the first platform focused on governing end-user use of GenAI.
That vision has now matured as the product and team have grown. As market needs continue to evolve, we believe our first mover advantage coupled with the maturity and scale of our solutions will lead SurePath AI to be the definitive leader in the now crystallized market segment of GenAI Security & Governance.
